Pre-registration: An assessment interview is required for the admission to the Master.
The first date available for in-person or online (upon request) interviews is 12 December 2024.

Class Schedule:Teaching is based on a hybrid formula with online classes on Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm and in-person sessions on Fridays from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm.

The registration fee for the Admission Test for the Master’s program is € 50,00; this amount will be subsequently deducted from the first installment when the matriculation is finalized.

The registration fee for the Master’s program is € 5,500.00 (+ € 16,00 for revenue stamp).
The payment of the enrollment installments is cadenced as follows:

1st installment due 31/01/2025 of € 1,566.00 (€ 1,500.00 fees + € 16,00 revenue stamp)
2nd installment due 28/02/2025 of € 1,300.00
3rd installment due date 31/03/2025 of € 1,300.00
4th installment due date 30/04/2025 of € 1,300.00

Executive Master in Translation and Production Processes in the Entertainment Industry.

Our course will guide you through all the steps of localisation, from the birth of the project to its commercialisation, with an in-depth look at topics such as graphics, technological development, subtitling, testing and marketing.
Thanks to the hybrid formula, which combines online classes with in-person workshops, you will learn directly from industry experts and put into practice the skills you acquired right away. Your training will be completed with 30 hours of professional coaching at one of SSML Carlo Bo’s Partners.

The Master’s programme focuses on one of the most profitable productive sectors in Italy, the second European country in terms of fruition of media such as comics, manga, and videogames.
The professional opportunities guaranteed by an educational training oriented to the production processes and entertainment localisation lead to the world of national and international publishing, videogame houses in addition to advertising and media editing, on which the Master mainly focuses its attention. Participants will be able to work as translators, language consultants and marketing specialists in the comics and video game industries.

Admission Requirements and Assessment Interview

The Master is open to the students who hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in: Science of Language Mediation (L-12), Comparative Languages and Cultures (L-11), Foreign Languages and Literatures, Modern European and American Languages and Literatures (LM-37), Modern Languages for Communication and Cooperation (LM-38), Specialist Translation and Interpreting (LM-94), or students from the Faculty of Humanities, provided they possess language skills at least in English and at a level equal to B2 CEFR. Language skills are ascertained at the assessment interview aimed at confirming your aptitude for the post-graduate course and the skills you have developed in the language field.

The interview aims to test your English language skills. B2 CEFR proficiency is required for the admission to the Master. The interview will assess the student’s general aptitude and motivation to delve into the entertainment sector.

The Master will be activated with a minimum of 12 participants.
